bicameral encargada de estudiar la reforma a la Ley de\u00a0<strong>Seguridad Social<\/strong>\u00a0comenzar\u00e1 esta semana su calendario de estudios para retomar el an\u00e1lisis de la normativa, en un proceso en el que contempla encabezar diez\u00a0<strong>vistas p\u00fablicas<\/strong>\u00a0en todo el pa\u00eds para lograr una aprobaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s consensuada del proyecto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las primeras consultas se realizar\u00e1n en La Vega y Barahona, mientras que las siguientes se desarrollar\u00e1n en diversas provincias, asegurando la\u00a0<strong>participaci\u00f3n de representantes<\/strong>\u00a0de las regiones, alcald\u00edas, gobernaciones y\u00a0<strong>legisladores locales<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El diputado Rafael Castillo, de la\u00a0<strong>Fuerza del Pueblo<\/strong>\u00a0y responsable del estudio de la reforma, explic\u00f3 que estas\u00a0<strong>vistas p\u00fablicas<\/strong>\u00a0permitir\u00e1n escuchar a\u00a0<strong>centrales sindicales<\/strong>, sectores productivos y a todos los ciudadanos interesados en contribuir al debate sobre la\u00a0<strong>modificaci\u00f3n de la ley<\/strong>, que se ha estancado por m\u00e1s de cuatro a\u00f1os en el Congreso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"585\" height=\"390\" src=\"https:\/\/elglobal.do\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-12.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1839\" srcset=\"https:\/\/elglobal.do\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-12.png 585w, https:\/\/elglobal.do\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-12-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 585px) 100vw, 585px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan Castillo, el objetivo del proyecto es modernizar un sistema que actualmente no cubre al 70 % de los trabajadores y que obliga a los usuarios a asumir copagos que rondan entre el 45 % y el 50 % de los costos de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica, lo que representa \u00abuna&nbsp;<strong>carga significativa<\/strong>&nbsp;para la poblaci\u00f3n\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre los problemas estructurales que la reforma busca corregir, seg\u00fan el legislador, se encuentran la&nbsp;<strong>baja tasa de cotizaci\u00f3n<\/strong>&nbsp;para pensiones, que actualmente es de 9.97 %, y la alta proporci\u00f3n de&nbsp;<strong>trabajadores informales<\/strong>&nbsp;que no cotizan al sistema, lo que genera fondos insuficientes para garantizar pensiones adecuadas al momento del retiro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Castillo tambi\u00e9n destac\u00f3 que, aunque la comisi\u00f3n mantiene contacto con diferentes actores sociales y pol\u00edticos, el\u00a0<strong>avance de la reforma<\/strong>\u00a0tambi\u00e9n ha estado condicionado por la falta de un proyecto formal presentado por el\u00a0<strong>Poder Ejecutivo<\/strong>, que se espera que llegue pr\u00f3ximamente para ser considerado en las discusiones de la
