Muchas veces los pacientes llegan cuando la enfermedad ya est\u00e1 avanzada, y eso cambia completamente el panorama del\u00a0<strong>tratamiento<\/strong>\u00ab, explic\u00f3 la especialista, que cuenta con m\u00e1s de 40 a\u00f1os de experiencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La exposici\u00f3n prolongada al sol sin protecci\u00f3n contin\u00faa sigue siendo la principal causa del\u00a0<strong>c\u00e1ncer de piel<\/strong>. Los\u00a0<strong>rayos ultravioleta<\/strong>\u00a0provocan da\u00f1os en el ADN de las c\u00e9lulas cut\u00e1neas, lo que puede derivar en melanomas y otros tipos de c\u00e1ncer, especialmente cuando se combina con\u00a0<strong>factores gen\u00e9ticos<\/strong>\u00a0como antecedentes familiares o la presencia de m\u00faltiples lunares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El\u00a0<strong>clima tropical<\/strong>\u00a0de la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, con\u00a0<strong>radiaci\u00f3n ultravioleta<\/strong>\u00a0intensa durante todo el a\u00f1o, incrementa el riesgo para la poblaci\u00f3n, aunque persiste la falta de conciencia sobre la importancia de la\u00a0<strong>protecci\u00f3n solar<\/strong>\u00a0diaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Importancia de la detecci\u00f3n temprana y prevenci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" src=\"https:\/\/elglobal.do\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/image-193.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5555\" style=\"width:319px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/elglobal.do\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/image-193.png 640w, https:\/\/elglobal.do\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/image-193-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gonz\u00e1lez de Bogaert, distinguida como Maestra de la Dermatolog\u00eda Ibero-Latinoamericana por el Colegio Ibero-Latinoamericano de Dermatolog\u00eda (CILAD), enfatiz\u00f3 que la&nbsp;<strong>detecci\u00f3n temprana<\/strong>&nbsp;puede significar m\u00e1s del 90 % de probabilidades de curaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Como dato alentador, la doctora destac\u00f3 que todos los&nbsp;<strong>pacientes diagnosticados<\/strong>&nbsp;en el per\u00edodo&nbsp;<strong>2024-2025<\/strong>&nbsp;fueron tratados con \u00e9xito, gracias a la&nbsp;<strong>detecci\u00f3n oportuna<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00abLa&nbsp;<strong>detecci\u00f3n temprana<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>salva<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;vidas<\/strong>\u00ab, afirm\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Desde hace&nbsp;<strong>38 a\u00f1os<\/strong>, Gonz\u00e1lez de Bogaert dirige el&nbsp;<strong>Departamento de Cirug\u00eda Dermatol\u00f3gica<\/strong>&nbsp;del&nbsp;<strong>IDCP-DHBD<\/strong>&nbsp;y asegur\u00f3 que muchos de los casos atendidos en 2024 pudieron tener un mejor desenlace gracias a los&nbsp;<strong>chequeos preventivos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00abLa&nbsp;<strong>piel<\/strong>&nbsp;es el \u00f3rgano m\u00e1s grande del cuerpo y refleja nuestra salud interna.
